Channel Islands
Crown dependencies, collectively
The Channel Islands are a group of islands in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy, comprising British Crown dependencies including Jersey and Guernsey.
They are not part of the United Kingdom but are self-governing possessions of the British Crown.
Separately, the Channel Islands of California are an archipelago off the Southern California coast, partly protected as Channel Islands National Park.
