Isle of Man

Irish Sea crown

The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown dependency in the Irish Sea, between Great Britain and Ireland.

It has its own parliament, the Tynwald, one of the world's oldest continuous legislative bodies.

The island is known for the TT motorcycle races and as an offshore financial center.

Its residents are called Manx, as is the island's nearly extinct Celtic language.
