16:9
Standard monitor shape
16:9 is an aspect ratio describing the proportional relationship between width and height, where the width is 16 units for every 9 units of height.
This widescreen format became the standard for high-definition television, computer monitors, and most video content: The film was letterboxed to fit the 16:9 screen.
It replaced the squarer 4:3 ratio of older televisions.
