NTSC

American television format

NTSC stands for National Television System Committee, the analog broadcast television standard used in North America, most of South America, and Japan until the digital transition.

The acronym now primarily distinguishes video formats: NTSC runs at approximately 30 frames per second, while the European PAL standard runs at 25.
