wind gauge

Airflow measuring device

A wind gauge is an instrument for measuring wind speed or force, also called an anemometer.

The term appears in meteorology, sailing, and aviation contexts: The wind gauge showed gusts of forty knots.

Some firearms have a wind gauge—an adjustable rear sight that compensates for crosswind.
