temperature sensor
Thermal measurement device
A temperature sensor is a device that detects heat levels and converts them into readable data—electrical signals, digital readouts, or mechanical responses.
Thermometers, thermocouples, and thermistors are all temperature sensors.
They appear everywhere from medical equipment to car engines to home thermostats: The temperature sensor in the freezer triggered an alarm when the door was left open.
