wickiup
Dome-shaped native dwelling
A wickiup is a domed or conical hut made of brush, grass, or reeds over a pole frame, traditionally built by some Native American peoples of the western United States.
The term applies particularly to temporary dwellings of nomadic groups: The archaeological site revealed the remains of several wickiups.
