manor
Aristocrat's country seat
A manor is a large country house with surrounding land, historically the estate of a feudal lord.
The term evokes old wealth and aristocratic life: the lord of the manor, a Victorian manor house.
In British slang, manor means one's home territory or neighborhood: This is my manor.
