teepee
Hide-covered cone
A teepee is a cone-shaped tent traditionally used by Indigenous peoples of the North American Great Plains.
The structure consists of wooden poles arranged in a cone and covered with animal hides or canvas, with a smoke hole at the top.
Teepees were designed to be portable, assembled and disassembled quickly as communities followed buffalo herds.
Also spelled tepee or tipi.
