high-rise

Tall urban structure

A high-rise is a tall building with many stories, typically residential or commercial: a high-rise apartment, high-rise office towers.

The term usually implies at least ten floors, though the threshold varies.

As an adjective, it describes things associated with such buildings or, separately, pants or underwear with a waistband sitting above the natural waist: high-rise jeans.
