touchup

Small cosmetic repair

A touchup is a minor repair or improvement to something already complete—fixing small flaws rather than redoing the whole: The walls need a touchup before we move in, She went to the salon for a color touchup.

As a verb (usually hyphenated or two words), to touch up is to make such corrections: He touched up the paint around the doorframe.
