time traveler
Past-future boundary crosser
A time traveler is someone who moves between different points in time—forward into the future or backward into the past.
The concept belongs almost entirely to science fiction: The time traveler arrived in Victorian London.
Occasionally used figuratively for someone whose attitudes or style seem displaced from the present: With his flip phone and encyclopedias, he's a time traveler from 1995.
