online streaming
Digital video delivery
Online streaming is the delivery of audio or video content over the internet in real time, without downloading a complete file first.
Users stream movies, music, live broadcasts, and games through services like Netflix or Spotify: We spent the evening streaming old sitcoms.
The technology has largely displaced physical media and traditional broadcasting for entertainment consumption.
