spin room
Post-debate messaging zone
A spin room is a designated area at political debates or major press events where campaign representatives speak to journalists immediately afterward.
The term captures what happens there: each side tries to put favorable "spin" on their candidate's performance, shaping media narratives before they solidify.
Reporters crowded into the spin room to hear from both campaigns.
