lap pool
Long narrow swimmer
A lap pool is a long, narrow swimming pool designed for swimming laps—back-and-forth lengths for exercise.
Unlike recreational pools meant for splashing or lounging, lap pools prioritize length over width, typically at least 40 feet long: The hotel gym has a small lap pool.
