Sanding sheets are rectangular pieces of abrasive material used to smooth wood, metal, or other surfaces.
Unlike sanding discs or belts designed for power tools, sheets are typically used by hand or cut to fit palm sanders and sanding blocks: I need to pick up some sanding sheets for the refinishing project.
