Bondo

Auto body filler

Bondo is a brand of automotive body filler—a putty used to repair dents, rust holes, and surface damage before repainting.

The name has become generic for any such filler: Just slap some Bondo on it.

The term sometimes implies a quick or shoddy repair that masks deeper problems: That car's held together with Bondo and prayers.
