playground
Schoolyard recreation area
A playground is an outdoor area designed for children to play, typically equipped with swings, slides, climbing structures, and other recreational equipment.
Schools and parks usually have playgrounds.
The word extends to any space where people pursue activities freely: The island became a playground for the wealthy.
A playground can also be a testing ground or arena: social media as a playground for misinformation.
