conflicts
Battles between sides
Conflicts are clashes between opposing forces, interests, or ideas.
A conflict may be armed warfare, a dispute between people, or an internal struggle: conflicts in the Middle East, a conflict with my landlord, the conflict between ambition and family.
To conflict is to be incompatible: The meetings conflict with each other.
A conflict of interest arises when competing obligations compromise impartiality.
