propellors

Aircraft spinning blades

Propellors is a less common spelling of propellers—the rotating blades that push aircraft through air or boats through water.

The standard spelling uses -er, following the pattern of propel → propeller, though -or appears occasionally.

The plane's propellors hummed as it taxied down the runway.
