polygons

Many-sided shapes

Polygons are closed, flat shapes with straight sides—triangles, squares, pentagons, hexagons, and so on.

The term comes from Greek words meaning "many angles." In geometry, polygons are classified by their number of sides: a polygon with eight sides is an octagon, one with twelve a dodecagon.

The software can render complex polygons in real time.
