peace sign
Two-finger antiwar symbol
A peace sign is a hand gesture made by extending the index and middle fingers in a V shape, palm facing outward, symbolizing peace or victory.
The term also refers to the circular symbol with interior lines resembling a downward-forking tree—designed for nuclear disarmament campaigns in the 1950s and later adopted by antiwar movements.
