Raised arm greeting
The fascist salute is a gesture performed by extending the right arm forward and upward at an angle, palm facing down.
It originated in Italian fascism and was adopted by Nazi Germany as the Hitler salute.
The gesture is now illegal in several European countries and widely recognized as a symbol of far-right extremism: Protesters spotted someone giving a fascist salute at the rally.
