Digital direction guide
A navigation system is a device or software that determines position and provides directions to a destination.
Modern systems use GPS satellites to track location in real time: The navigation system rerouted us around the traffic jam.
Cars, phones, ships, and aircraft all use navigation systems.
Informally shortened to nav system or just nav.
