Waze
Traffic-aware route finder
Waze is a GPS navigation app that distinguishes itself through crowdsourced, real-time traffic data.
Users report accidents, police speed traps, road hazards, and traffic jams, which the app aggregates to optimize routes and warn other drivers.
Acquired by Google in 2013, Waze has become synonymous with community-driven navigation and is often used as a verb: I'll Waze the best route to avoid construction.
The app's social features include sharing arrival times and seeing other Wazers on the map.
