Compressed air chiller
An intercooler is a heat exchanger that cools compressed air before it enters an engine.
When turbochargers or superchargers compress air, they heat it; cooler air is denser and allows more efficient combustion.
The intercooler sits between the compressor and the engine intake: The mechanic upgraded the intercooler for better performance.
