TomTom
Mounted drum pair
TomTom is a brand of GPS navigation devices and software, once dominant in the market for standalone car navigation units.
The name evokes the rhythmic beat of a drum, suggesting guidance or direction.
As GPS became standard in smartphones, dedicated TomTom devices declined, though the company continues in fleet management and mapping services.
I still keep an old TomTom in the glove box as backup.
