lutz

Skater's backward takeoff

A lutz is a figure skating jump in which the skater takes off from the back outside edge of one foot, rotates in the air, and lands on the back outside edge of the other foot.

Named after Austrian skater Alois Lutz, it's considered one of the more difficult jumps because the rotation direction opposes the takeoff edge: She landed a triple lutz. (Capitalized Lutz is a surname.)
