triple lutz
Three-rotation ice jump
A triple lutz is a figure skating jump where the skater takes off from the back outside edge of one skate, rotates three times in the air, and lands on the back outside edge of the opposite skate.
The lutz is distinguished from similar jumps by its counter-rotational takeoff—the skater enters rotating one direction but jumps the other.
She landed the triple lutz cleanly in her long program.
