waltz jump
Ice rotation move
A waltz jump is a figure skating move where the skater takes off from a forward outside edge, rotates half a turn in the air, and lands backward on the opposite foot.
It's one of the first jumps beginners learn, serving as a foundation for more difficult jumps like the axel: She practiced waltz jumps until the landing felt natural.
