Gliding one-footed turn

A twizzle is a figure skating move in which the skater rotates rapidly on one foot while traveling across the ice—essentially a traveling spin.

The term appears most often in ice dancing, where synchronized twizzles are required elements: Their twizzle sequence was perfectly matched.

Outside skating, twizzle sometimes means to twist or spin something playfully.
