lingcod

Blue-fleshed fish

Lingcod is a large greenish fish of the North Pacific, prized by sport and commercial fishermen.

Despite the name, it's not a true cod but belongs to the greenling family.

The flesh sometimes has a bluish-green tint that disappears when cooked.

We caught a thirty-pound lingcod off the coast of British Columbia.
