kinetics
Study of movement
Kinetics is the branch of physics or chemistry dealing with motion and rates of change.
In physics, kinetics studies how forces affect moving bodies.
In chemistry, it examines reaction rates—how fast reactions proceed and what factors influence them: The kinetics of the reaction depend on temperature and concentration.
The term often appears in compounds: pharmacokinetics (drug movement through the body), biokinetics (biological motion systems).
