projectile
Something hurled airborne
A projectile is an object propelled through space, especially one fired or thrown as a weapon: bullets, arrows, rocks, missiles.
Physics uses the term for any object moving under the influence of gravity after being launched: The projectile followed a parabolic arc.
As an adjective, projectile describes something capable of being thrust forward: projectile vomiting.
