refreshment

Food and drink

Refreshment is food or drink that restores energy, especially light fare served at gatherings: Refreshments will be provided after the meeting.

The word also names the state of being refreshed—renewed or reinvigorated: a swim for refreshment on a hot day.

The plural refreshments almost always means snacks and beverages rather than the abstract sense.
