thirst
Body demands liquid
Thirst is the bodily sensation that signals a need for water or other fluids, and by extension, the act of experiencing that sensation: I worked up a thirst mowing the lawn.
The word extends naturally to any strong desire or craving: a thirst for knowledge, a thirst for revenge.
In contemporary slang, thirst describes obvious or desperate romantic or sexual interest, often displayed publicly on social media.
Someone exhibiting such behavior is called thirsty.
