instrument panel

Pilot's gauge array

An instrument panel is the section of a vehicle or aircraft where gauges, dials, and controls are mounted for monitoring and operation.

In cars, the instrument panel—often called the dashboard—displays speed, fuel level, and warning lights.

In aircraft cockpits, it's considerably more complex: The pilot scanned the instrument panel before takeoff.
