Electrical distribution center
A fuse box is a metal box containing fuses that protect electrical circuits in a building.
When too much current flows through a circuit, the fuse burns out and breaks the connection, preventing fires or damage.
Older homes have fuse boxes; newer ones typically have circuit breaker panels instead.
The fuse box is in the basement.
