grapnel

Small multi-fluked anchor

A grapnel is a small anchor with multiple curved hooks or claws, used for gripping surfaces or dragging along the bottom to retrieve objects.

Sailors use grapnels to anchor small boats; in earlier warfare, a grapnel attached to a rope could hook an enemy vessel for boarding.

A grappling hook is essentially the same device.
