Comments are remarks or observations about something, often expressing an opinion or reaction: The article received hundreds of comments.
In computing, comments are notes within code that explain functionality but don't execute—meant for human readers, not machines.
To comment is to offer such remarks.
No comment is a stock refusal to respond, especially to journalists.
