postscript

Note after signing

A postscript is an addition to a letter or document, written after the main body has been completed and signed.

Abbreviated P.S., it typically adds an afterthought: P.S. I forgot to mention I'll be late Thursday.

By extension, a postscript is any supplementary comment or concluding remark: The epilogue served as a postscript to the trilogy.
