east side
Where dawn breaks
The east side is the eastern portion of a city, town, or other geographic area.
In many American cities, it carries class or ethnic connotations—often working-class or immigrant neighborhoods, though this varies by city: She grew up on the east side of Detroit.
The term appears in place names and cultural references: East Side Story, Lower East Side.
