street art
Walls as canvas
Street art is visual art created in public spaces—murals, graffiti, wheat-paste posters, stencil work, and installations on walls, sidewalks, and buildings.
Unlike gallery art, it's meant to be encountered by ordinary people going about their day.
Street art ranges from illegal tagging to commissioned murals, and artists like Banksy have blurred the line between vandalism and high art.
The neighborhood is known for its vibrant street art.
