booleans
Logic's two answers
Booleans are values that can only be true or false—the fundamental binary of computer logic.
Named after mathematician George Boole, they underlie every digital decision: if the boolean is true, run the code.
Boolean expressions evaluate conditions, and boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) combine them.
Outside programming, boolean describes any two-state system.
