tuples
Immutable data sequences
Tuples are ordered collections of elements, fundamental in mathematics and computing.
In math, a tuple groups values in sequence—a pair is a 2-tuple, a triple is a 3-tuple.
In programming, tuples resemble lists but are typically immutable: The function returns a tuple of coordinates.
The word rhymes with either "couples" or "pupils" depending on the speaker.
