truthy
Appears true enough
Truthy describes something that feels true or seems true without actually being true.
The word emerged in American political commentary to characterize claims that appeal to intuition or emotion rather than facts: It's not true, but it's truthy.
In programming, truthy has a technical meaning: a value that evaluates as true in a boolean context even if it isn't literally true—like a non-empty string or nonzero number.
