Alphabetized definition collections

Dictionaries is the plural of dictionary—a reference work listing words with their meanings, typically in alphabetical order.

Beyond traditional books, dictionaries now exist as apps and websites: I looked it up in three different dictionaries.

The term extends to any systematic listing: a data dictionary, a dictionary of quotations.
