supination
Forearm rotating outward
Supination is the rotation of the forearm so the palm faces upward or forward, or the corresponding rotation of the foot so weight shifts to the outer edge.
The opposite motion is pronation.
In anatomy and sports medicine, supination describes how joints rotate around their long axis: Runners with excessive supination wear down the outside of their shoes.
