affirmation
Statement of support
Affirmation is a statement declaring that something is true, or the act of making such a declaration.
In legal contexts, an affirmation serves the same function as an oath but without religious reference, for those who object to swearing.
In popular psychology and self-help, affirmations are positive statements repeated to oneself to encourage confidence or change thinking patterns: She starts each morning with affirmations about her worth.
To affirm something is to state it positively or to validate it.
