disbelief
Refusal to accept
Disbelief is the state of not believing something, often because it seems impossible or shocking: She stared in disbelief at the wreckage.
To suspend disbelief is to temporarily accept the impossible premises of a story or performance.
Disbelief can also mean rejection of religious faith, though unbelief is more common for that sense.
